Brad Cummings is the Founder and & CEO of EquiLottery Games, the leading developer of lottery games based on the results of live sports in the U.S. Beginning as an idea for a horse racing lottery game during a brainstorming session in his home office, EquiLottery Games has evolved into the leader in this new live sports lottery category which includes games based on baseball, basketball, football, golf, hockey, and horse racing and has secured licensing contracts with some of the biggest names in American sports.
His first start-up company is leading horse racing industry news site the Paulick Report which he co-founded in 2008 with internationally-renowned journalist Ray Paulick. Previously, Cummings served as COO of PM Advertising, a Lexington, KY, ad agency specializing in Thoroughbred racing. He also penned a regular column for the Louisville Courier Journal and served as a political operative in his adopted home state of Kentucky.
Kim is the CFO of EquiLottery Games and has over 20 years of finance and operations experience in start-ups and early stage companies. Kim started out in public accounting in the Entrepreneurial Services Group of Ernst & Young, which fueled her interest in early stage, high-growth companies. The first company that Kim joined out of public accounting was The Cobb Group, which was an early stage, high growth company at the time and actually sold several times while Kim was there. From there, Kim co-founded a couple of companies with some of her Cobb Group colleagues. Kim co-founded TechRepublic, an online media company that provides real world information to IT pros and served as its Chief Financial Officer. TechRepublic was acquired by Gartner Group in 2000. After that, Kim co-founded IT Business Edge, an online media and database marketing company, and served as its Chief Financial Officer. IT Business Edge was acquired by QuinStreet (NASDAQ:QNST) in 2011. Since the sale of IT Business Edge, Kim has been providing fractional CFO Services to multiple companies, including RowdMap that sold to Cotiviti (NYSE:COTV) in 2017.
Austin Mayberry is the CTO of EquiLottery Games and has been developing software for over 35 years since he first learned to write simple programs from his father at the age of 6. He developed and released his first commercial software over 26 years ago at the age of 16. His masters thesis was written 20 years ago outlining a plan to move medical practice management to the cloud. He has spent his career evaluating, developing, and implementing technology in industries as diverse as healthcare, financial services, marketing, gaming, and social media.
For the past 16 years, he has focused on the financial services industry designing software and managing teams to develop tools for cloud based collaboration. He has a Masters of Computer Engineering from the University of Louisville, a Masters of Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Kaitlyn Johnston is the Director of Horse Racing for EquiLottery Games’ flagship game Win Place Show. She is from Dallas, Texas and moved to Louisville to pursue her undergraduate degree at the University of Louisville’s Equine Industry Program. She has been involved in many aspects of the equine industry from her experience on the backside of Churchill Downs, competing on the hunter/jumper circuit, and working as a graduate assistant. She recently graduated from Louisville’s full-time MBA program in September of 2019 and is excited to pursue her love of sports and all things horses with EquiLottery Games.
